These are some of my fanzine comics from over the years collected together for the first time. Yay! Mature readers only. Boo!

Science Fiction

TALES
OF THE POISONED SKY:SHIPWRECKED(episode 1)
2007 (8 pages) Part one of my comedy/horror space-pirate epic. For Slam. A young student crashes on a pirate-infested planet.

TALES
OF THE POISONED SKY:Message in a Bottle (episode 2)
2007 (7 pages) Part two. Black and white. A young student battles vampires and starvation to survive.

TALES
OF THE POISONED SKY:Shanghaied (episode 3)
2007 (9 pgs) Part Three. The power of drugs, the threat of conscription and the promise of a martyr's heaven conspire to pull Sartre into the world of the space-pirates.

TALES
OF THE POISONED SKY: Ghost Ship (episode 5)
2003 Part five. The pirates raid a derelict ship but all is not as it seems.

TALES
OF THE POISONED SKY : KEELHAULED(episode 6)
2003 (8
pages) Space action with goatsuckers, mental degeneration and cute little monkeys.
Hope you enjoy. I'll upload the rest of this storyline if I get any requests for it.

The Important Women
25 page metaphysical feminist comic from 1993. A strange brew of comedy, violence and philosophy inspired by the name of a Steven J. Bernstein poem. For Tom.

The Last Poem
(1992-1999) A futuristic quest for poetical inspiration leads to a philosophical conclusion. Hand-lettered. Badly.

Comedy

Haze of Glory "The Killer Munchies"
Stoner comedy from 1991. Possibly my favourite. For Noel.

Substitute Teacher
Questionably tasteless Tarantino tribute romp about those weird supply-teachers who turn up when your usual teacher is hungover. For Guy.
Two page comic about a lonely demon named Dorky and his doomed love afair with a pair of shoes. For Joel.

Four pager about punks and tanks and the Queen of England. For Nige.

Autobiographical

24hr comic
This is a comic i drew for BFF's annual 24hour comic day (1st Feb) where you draw a comic for every hour of the day you are awake. A lot of the time I was at work, hence the crappy art and all the drama. For Tim.
Drama

Testing Positive
Narrative drama about death and cruelty.
Edited for computer screens. Badly.

Specky Spacky's Bag
Bullying and mystery on the English estates. From the Heroin Orchard fanzine
circa 1995.
For Chris.
Political

(4
pages).
This is a short comic I made recently for a human-rights campaign.
People seem to be more inclined to look at a comic than the usual pamphlet or whatever. Please feel free to print* and distribute as many copies as you like. I've been leaving them lying around places like cafes and pubs, just trying to get people thinking.
*If you print the pages A5 and photocopy double-sided, you can fit the whole thing on one sheet of A4.

This is an old 8-page strip about refugees from the Rwandan diaspora. I must have drawn this about 10 years ago (spot the dated references to Kabila and Zaire) and it is not as relevant as Ghost House but I hope you will get something out of it. For Paolo and Dominic.

Experimental

Boom-Ba-Yay
An excerpt from the
greatest team-up story ever told: Ziggy Stardust and an ex-mental patient who may or may not be Jesus, on a dark quest through space and time with a panda.

Character Designs
Here are some unused character designs that I never got around to doing anything cool with.

These are some characters from a strip called Cokey that I never got around to writing.

These are for an unused range of cards from 10 years ago.
